Frightened Child
I happen to like Natalie Imbruglia, and was listening to this song on an endless loop at one point during writing, and I think it might have affected the first part of the story. This being said, I figure I should probably put up lyrics and such. Now if I could just figure out *where* this song is from...
Disclaimers: It's not mine, but I like it. If I bothered to dig out CDs, I could tell you who it belongs to but that'd take too much time. Suing me would get you no where, and you'd likely end up in debt as I'm a college student, and plan on working for the government once I'm done. AKA- I'm in debt for life.
I hear your silent scream, Deep in your private dream, Two ways to go from here, One way will bring you near, Fragile wish. Full moon, no rain, no shame, That distance still remains, More shades of grey to come, We've been through more than one, Close your eyes. Like a frightened child, Fragile in spirit, Like a wind blowing wild, No name you can give it, Like an infantile seeing the light for the very first time. No tricks, no sleight of hand, Find somewhere safe to land, Before your walls were shakin', But now the whole thing's breakin', And it makes you feel... Like a frightened child, Fragile in spirit, Like a wind blowing wild, No name you can give it, Like an infantile seein' the light for the very first time. Yes you're right, What is right? Yes it's night, I can tell. Yes it's yours, Yes I know, You're a beautiful stranger to yourself.
